Dr. Laura Moisa is an associate veterinarian of Orchid Springs Animal Hospital. She was born right here in Winter Haven, FL and calls this home. The fine schools of Lake Elbert, Denison Middle, and Winter Haven High prepared her for the next stages in life. Dr. Moisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Florida Southern College in 2009. In late 2009, she ecstatically said “yes” to her acceptance into St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Moisa entered the January 2010 class. During her last year of school in 2013, Dr. Moisa attended Auburn University’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Moisa’s Veterinary Experience and Personal Information
Dr. Moisa has a passion for all of God’s creatures, big and small. She has completed externships at many different veterinary practices such as Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital (Ocala, FL), Blue Pearl Specialty and Referral Clinic (Tampa, FL), Fayetteville Mixed Animal Hospital (Tennessee), and Trinity Small Animal clinic (Trinity, FL).
During her summer and Christmas breaks from veterinary school, Dr. Moisa worked as a technician right here at OSAH. She learned invaluable knowledge from Dr. Vargas on how to work with people and focus on the fact that each individual pet is 100% special.
Dr. Moisa shares her living space with her cat Magic, and her 2 dogs, Caden and Hank.

Dr. Moisa is a member of Ridge Veterinary Medical Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Florida Veterinary Medical Association. She also plans to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in the future.
