Dr. Hood earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Florida in 1996.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from U.F. 

Her areas of interest include canine rehabilitation, pain management and physical therapy. This is of great benefit to post-surgical and arthritic pets.

In 2007, she developed an exercise and nutritional program to help maintain pets at their optimum weight.
